Children of the Borderlands” by Lucyna Kulinska Ph.D. is a collection of eyewitness accounts of the people who as children survived genocides perpetrated by Ukrainians on Polish population of four districts: Wolhynia, Tarnopol, Stanisławów, and Lwów. It was translated by Paweł Szymański and Jakub Zaraska. The poems were translated by Sister Jadwiga Szczechowicz of the Albertine Sisters. It was funded and published by Paweł Szymański in 2019. The original Polish version has four volumes. The English version is volume two of the series. It was arranged for the English speaking audience that may not be familiar with Polish history and the history of Polish borderlands. Therefore, it contains numerous footnotes which explain the background of these tragic events as well as the history of these districts. The book is richly illustrated with the pictures of the victims and perpetrators who were responsible for this genocide. There are name lists of Poles who were brutally murdered by Ukrainians.
