Re: Protest against the persecution of Poles by Polish Prime Minister, D. Tusk, and the European Union.
Dear Sirs,
Asked by US intelligence in 1986 / 1987 for my opinion about merging East Germany and West Germany into one country – Germany, I supported the unification, primarily because both Poles and Germans suffered living under the Soviet Bloc (see my book [6]). So, I am not hostile to Germans. I am not a member of any political party in Poland, and I live in the USA, after I escaped from communist Poland in 1986 [6].
I noted that, after unification, Germany began to revive its imperialism. “The EC (European Commission) has admitted that it illegally blocked EU funds owed to Poland in order to affect the election result.” [2] ‘The Polish President Andrzej Duda [in January 2024] criticized the European Commission (EC) for blocking EU funds in what he said had been “an attempt to force Poland to change” its government’ [5]. Mr. Tusk was elected as the Prime Minister of Poland as a result of this illegal blocking.
It is the German imperialism, as imperialism is: [1] “the policy, practice, or advocacy of extending the power and dominion of a nation, especially by direct territorial acquisitions or by gaining indirect control over the political or economic life of other areas”, and the German politician, Ursula von der Leyen, is the President of the EC. I recall that she, the German EC President, said in public that she expected Mr. Tusk to become the Prime Minister of Poland, thereby extending her power over Poland.
The control of Germany over Poland using Tusk and money could not be more perfidious, as these “EU funds”, finally released after electing Tusk as the PM of Poland, are now distributed among the Tusk’s Polish government people for their more luxurious life, e.g., yachts.[3] The perfidy is even deeper: these “EU funds” are, in fact, loans and will have to be paid by the Poles.
The persecution of Poles by Mr. Tusk, elected as the PM by the indirect control of the German politician, is thorough: Poles of significance are oppressed, e.g., Mr. Daniel Obajtek, former President of ORLEN. During his tenure from 2018 to 2023, Mr. Obajtek transformed ORLEN into the most significant and profitable multi-energy conglomerate in Central and Eastern Europe. Tusk’s regime asks the EU for permission to oppress Obajtek because he is a Member of the European Parliament.
If not German imperialism, leading to the election of Tusk as Prime Minister of Poland, there would not have been persecution of Obajtek, a Pole, by Tusk’s government. German imperialism is incomparably greater compared to Obajtek’s action, who, as the corporate leader, withdrew the weekly publication “NIE” comprising highly offensive material against the catholic Saint John Paul II, [4] who is a Pole.
German imperialism does not tolerate Saint John Paul II, a Pole, and may resort in the future to atrocities similar to those committed by Germans during WWII. About 6 million Poles were killed or murdered by the Germans during WWII. Defending the offensive publication against the Polish Pope, by Tusk’s regime, supported by the EU, oppresses one of the most significant Polish icons. Germany clearly aims against Polish Catholicism, bringing to mind relatively recent long-lasting torture of the Polish priest Olszewski by the Tusk regime [8,9,10,11].
Additionally, Mr. Obajtek is a notable figure who helped eliminate Poland’s reliance on Russian oil and gas. Conversely, Germany specifically based its economy on Russian energy (compare the leadership of the German Chancellors Schröder and Merkel). So, for multiple underlying political, economic, and worldview reasons, the Pole Obajtek has to be destroyed. I appeal to stop this process: Germany is actively returning to its imperialism, evidenced also by German politicians’ rejection of paying Poland the reparations for WWII.
Assaultiveness of Germany against Poland has been observed for over eight centuries, evidenced by “Drang Nach Osten” [7] (19th-century German nationalist intent to expand Germany into Slavic territories of Central and Eastern Europe) and earlier “Northern Crusades” [2] (medieval 12th to 13th-century military expeditions). Germans created the NAZI and made it prevalent in the nation. Today, Germany produces evidence of strong anti-Polonism and attempts to involve the whole EU in their imperialism.
